RADIO ELECTRONICA went on the air in Jena in 1999 as one of the first independent radio programs. The background was to bring color into the dull Thuringian radio program and to create a platform in which regional and national artists from the electronic music scene can present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the lookout for new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.
The program quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 19:00 to 24:00 on the Offener Kanal Jena on UKW 103.4/ Kabel 107.9 and via online stream.
With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a fixed institution in terms of electronic music in Jena and known beyond the city limits. In addition to the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.
